Choose documents for your job
You do not need to read the directory from top to bottom. Find the row closest to your current job and complete only that route.
Six common routes
| Who you are | Complete this first | Read in this order |
|---|---|---|
| First installer or field engineer | Show one device in the browser | Choose installation → Initial setup → First video |
| New to video systems | Understand devices, channels, streams, and recordings | Core concepts → Using the features |
| System administrator or operator | Make the system secure, observable, and recoverable | Overview and inspection → Six security tasks → Backup and rollback |
| Video business user | Watch live video, find recordings, and control devices | Device onboarding → Live preview → Recording and playback |
| API integration developer | Call the platform from your own business service | API integration → Five-minute start → Find APIs |
| Meeting client developer | Embed RTC in Web, Android, iOS, or UniApp | RTC SDK integration → Backend tickets → Acceptance |
Do not combine these during the first implementation
- Do not create ONVIF, GB28181, and RTSP resources for the same camera at once.
- Do not configure recording, video wall, and RTC before the first video is stable.
- Do not expose every port to the Internet before understanding its purpose.
- Do not treat one successful HTTP response as proof that a device, stream, or recording is usable.
If you do not know which route fits
Answer three questions:
- What result do you need now: sign-in, video, recording, or API data?
- What can you operate when it fails: server, camera, network, or business code?
- Is this a short test or a long-running production system?
If you are still unsure, start with First video. It connects installation, device, channel, stream, and browser in one route.
